Retirees were financially fragile before the COVID-19 pandemic and now they are even more vulnerable. Most retirees had already retired before the COVID-19 pandemic and they may be able to weather the storm better than workers. However, many retirees would be unable to pay large out-of-pocket costs if they were hit with unexpected bills. 

Retirees and Retirement Amid COVID-19 is research report is based on a survey conducted in late 2019 and offers comparisons with a supplemental survey conducted in June 2020.
