Post-Pandemic Realities: The Retirement Outlook of the Multigenerational Workforce
Today’s workers are navigating the extended hangover of the pandemic as well as new disruptions that pose a threat to their lifestyles and livelihoods. Many workers are confronting short-term employment and financial challenges that have implications for their ability to save and invest for their future retirement. A concerted effort is needed among policymakers, employers, and workers themselves to put them back on the road towards a financially secure retirement.
Post-Pandemic Realities: The Retirement Outlook of the Multigenerational Workforce examines the employment, personal finances, and retirement preparations of U.S. workers aged 18 and older and employed by for-profit companies. The survey report provides comparisons of Generation Z, Millennials, Generation X, and Baby Boomers, and it offers recommendations for workers, employers, and policymakers.
The report is based on findings from the 23rd Annual Transamerica Retirement Survey conducted in 2022 including more than 5,700 workers of for-profit companies.
