As the economy slowly recovers from the Great Recession, The 13th Annual Transamerica Retirement Survey of Employers finds they remain cautious about making any changes to employee benefits, whether positive or negative. Large companies continue to be more likely than small companies to offer retirement plans, as well as offering more feature on those plans, including automatic enrollments and matching contributions. The research also reveals employer-worker disconnects on the value of retirement planning and the educational offerings of employers.
The research report is based on findings from a survey of more than 750 employers conducted in 2012. It offers a multi-year trend analysis and comparisons of large and small companies.
